Are your services managed?
Unless you have purchased a management plan your VPS is unmanaged. This means the only thing we support is network connectivity. We do not support the installation, configuration, or troubleshooting of any software including the operating system. Where are the VPSs located?
All of our servers are currently located in Chicago, IL.
Are game servers and\or bots allowed?
Please see our Terms of Service for more information on this. Game servers, bots, and other 24x7 resource intensive scripts are not allowed on our fair share CPU plans. You will need to upgrade to a dedicated VPS plan to run these applications.
What is fair share CPU?
Fair Share is the most common way CPU time is divided up among users in the VPS industry. Information about it can be found here: Fair Share Wiki. CPU distribution is as follows:
Normal Plans:
S1\M1 = 2 Cores @ 1.2Ghz
S3\M3 = 3 Cores @ 1.2Ghz
S5\M5 = 4 Cores @ 1.2Ghz
S7\M7 = 5 Cores @ 1.2Ghz
Enhanced Plans:
S1\M1 = 2 Cores @ 2.4Ghz
S3\M3 = 3 Cores @ 2.4Ghz
S5\M5 = 4 Cores @ 2.4Ghz
S7\M7 = 5 Cores @ 2.4Ghz
In order to prevent abuse of this system and to protect other users on the node we have a strict fair use policy which is outlined in our Terms of Service.
What is the difference between the fair share and dedicated resource plans?
Fair share usage allows access from 2 to 5 cores depending on your plan, these cores are shared with other users, see the above question for information on how this works. This type of plan is best suited for web hosting or other applications where your resource usage will fluctuate a lot, for example a spike in traffic on a blog. Dedicated resource plans are geared toward users running high resource applications 24/7 such as game servers. These plans give you a set amount of CPU you're allowed to use and it is not shared with other users, you have full access to it 24/7.
Is there an uptime guarantee?
We do have a 99.9% SLA, more information can be found here.
Do you make backups of the VPSs?
No, in order to keep our prices as low as possible we offer the bare minimum of services allowing you the option to purchase the ones you want. You can add a backup option onto your VPS package at anytime.
How long does setup take?
Most VPS orders are approved and setup instantly, the ones that require manual approval are setup within 24-48 hours.
What is your cancellation policy?

Do you offer trials and\or refunds?
Because we feel we are very clear about what we sell we do not offer refunds or trial periods. Please make sure you understand what you are ordering, if you are unclear on anything please contact us before placing your order.
Do you provide phone support?
In case of an emergency you can call our main corporate phone number at 888-910-9668 and follow the prompts. We do not provide technical phone support.
How do I get help if I can not figure something out?
We recommend checking out the VPS section of our forums at http://x10hosting.com/forums/vps-talk/ or our wiki at http://x10hosting.com/wiki
Do you offer control panels with your services?
Currently we only offer cPanel but you are welcome to use licenses from outsides sources for other panels.
Do you use RAID on your VPSs?
Yes, all of our VPS nodes utilize hardware RAID cards.
Do you offer additional IP addresses?
Additional IPs are available for $1 per month per address.
What if I need more bandwidth?
You can either upgrade your plan or pay overage at $0.05 per GB. It is best to contact us prior to hitting the limit so we can work something out with you.
What is the enhanced addon?
The enhanced package allows you to upgrade certain parts of your VPS to improve performance without having to upgrade to the next package. The enhanced package gives the following:
1Gbit Shared Port
Double Bandwidth
Double CPU Power
The enhanced addon can be added to any of the plans to get the outlined upgrades.
